If they don't find some consistency they are going to be golfing sooner rather than later.

Agreed DD.....that being said, every team goes through an offensive slump at some point during a season. Just gotta find a way to cut it off before it becomes a drought!

Tkachuk is a LW which is what Gaudreau is. Would rather move Bennett to RW & play with Gaudreau & Monahan & see what they do for the rest of the year. If they click in the 2nd half, then our search for a top RW is over. Leave the 3M line intact, move Stajan up to play with Brouwer & Versteeg or Ferland & rotate Chiasson/Bouma/Hathaway/Hamilton/Versteeg(if Ferland can play) on that 4th line.

If they don't click, Tre has some decisions to make next year from resigning Backlund to getting a top 6 RW. What have we got lose, that 3M line is carrying us anyway.

I kind of assumed that Bennett could play either wing which I am sure he can. I would be fine putting him with Monahan and Gaudreau too but I just don't like moving Stajan in between Brouwer and Versteeg. Maybe they call up Jankowski? He could be good with those 2 vets.

Just we have too many 4th line forwards right now. I think Stajan is the best of the rest to move up to 3rd line. Not sure how bad the Ferland injury is either.

So do agree with Jonny and monahan with Bennett. I didnt see the oiler game but the devils game I thought Bennett was the best forward out there. And that was with chasson on his line. So he should play better with money on his line. Chasson just keeps getting top line play! I don't get it! I would understand if he was all we had.But we have options!! I would rather put Hathaway's grit extremely hard work get the job done at all cost up on that line. Anybody but chasson he needs to be further down in the lineup

That's fair. You guys definitely another reason to keep Pulju in the AHL.

Maybe both GM's will bid for him, Calgary will win with essentially the same offer, and Chia will be forced to follow through with some half-baked contingency plan that doesn't actually help the team win.

Add a Tarnstrom type (Jokipakka) and keep Gustaffson as your backup in the Markkanen model (sit the bench until the finals and fail when it matters) and you got yourself an Oilers playoff run.
